Naturally beautiful. Uniquely yours!
Our Vision
At La Traverna, our vision is simple: to create a welcoming space where stories are shared, vows exchanged, and unforgettable moments come to life. We believe in the power of place- and we’ve carefully restored our historic barn to honor its past while opening its doors to your future memories.
A Legacy in the Valley
Built in 1910 as a working dairy barn, this property has stood at the heart of the Snoqualmie Valley for over 100 years. What began as a space for farm labor and livestock is now lovingly re-imagined as a boutique event venue. The barn’s lower level has been carefully restored to retain its original charm, while the upper floors remain a private residence- ensuring that La Traverna is both professionally hosted and personally cared for.
Our Story
From Dairy Barn to Dream Destination
La Traverna is rooted in the rich agricultural heritage of the Snoqualmie Valley. Originally built in 1910, the barn at 1019 Redmond Fall City Road began its life as a working dairy farm, serving the region’s early farming community. For generations, the land stood as a quiet witness to the valley’s transformation- its open fields, hand-built structure, and pastoral setting reflecting a simpler time.
When we found the property, it carried the charm of the past but was in serious need of restoration. The barn’s roof was failing, infrastructure was outdated, and much of the surrounding landscape had gone untended. But beneath the wear, we saw opportunity- a chance to preserve something authentic and give it new life.
Today, the lower level of the historic barn has been thoughtfully renovated into La Traverna: a warm, intimate venue designed for weddings, celebrations, and private gatherings. With original timber framing, custom touches, and a connection to the land, it offers a setting that feels timeless, grounded, and distinctly Pacific Northwest.
The upper floors remain a private residence, allowing us to live onsite and personally care for the property. That closeness gives us the privilege of being hand-on stewards- welcoming guests, protecting the land, and ensuring that every event reflects the spirit of this place.
La Traverna isn’t just a venue- it’s a continuation of a century-old story. We’re honored to open its doors for the next chapter.
